| ANNOUNCEMENTS THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES AND LAST GREAT DAY—YEAR 2009 Myrtle Beach, S.C. Greetings from Myrtle Beach, S.C., As the MOST WELCOME AND WONDROUS TIME OF THE YEAR approached, so did the floods, hurricanes, and the South Pacific earthquakes. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2009, a magnitude between 8.0 and 8.3 earthquake struck around dawn about 20 miles below the ocean floor, 120 miles from American Samoa, a U.S. territory that is home to 65,000 people, and 125 miles from Samoa, triggering a tsunami near Samoa and American Samoa, wrecking its havoc. On the heels of this historical powerful earthquake followed another powerful 7.9 magnitude earthquake that Rocked Western Indonesia on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2009, prompting tsunami warnings. Finally, following on the heels of this earthquake THURSDAY, OCTOBER 01, 2009, a second powerful 6.8-magnitude earthquake Rocked Western Indonesia again. Yet, God spared His feasts sites around the world. We were spared from the HURRICANES SPAWNED in the Atlantic Ocean during this year’s hurricane season, also. IN SPITE OF A YEAR OF bankruptcies, setbacks, joblessness, hardships, (banks, businesses, and home foreclosures), high gasoline prices and ECONOMIC WOES, it’s a miracle many of GOD'S PEOPLE who faithfully saved their commanded feast tithes, WERE ABLE TO ASSEMBLE at God's feasts sites one more time to worship God Our Heavenly Father and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the OBSERVANCE of GOD'S FEAST OF TABERNACLES AND LAST GREAT DAY … with THEIR (Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ’s) help. Brethren who did not and could not come and worship with us in a congregation of our Heavenly Father and of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s around the world, paused to worship and observed God's Holy Days at home or where they were. Wherever you kept God's feasts this year, HERE IS WISHING EACH OF YOU had a most blest, joyous, safe, happy, and THE BEST FEASTS POSSIBLE as you worshipped God with other cheerful, happy and rejoicing brethren around the world. Three hundred and three (303) reported happy brethren, visitors, guests, friends, and their families gathered in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the LandMark Resort Hotel for God's annual autumn FEAST OF TABERNACLES AND LAST GREAT DAY. We enjoyed God inspired and uplifting messages, sincere warm and loving fellowship, several church activities, tropical weather, and many of the attractions WHICH MYRTLE BEACH HAS TO OFFER. This year the overall theme at God's Feast of Tabernacles here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in the LandMark Resort Hotel focused on “LOVE, FELLOWSHIP, AND OBEDIENCE” and “A NEW DAY IS COMING!” The emphasis on this theme ran throughout the feasts … in the light of “A NEW DAY IS COMING!” THE ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS which we enjoyed included God’s services, food, refreshments, drinks, cookouts, games, Teen Outing, Festival Entertainment, The Reception and Hospitality Night, the availability of the pools, beach, ocean, Bingo, Adult’s Dance, Children’s Dance, The Ministerial Luncheon, Raffle Giveaway, fishing, and the many activities and attractions Myrtle Beach has to offer. EIGHT DAYS ARE NOT ENOUGH to take in all the enjoyable activities and events here at Myrtle Beach. So whether taking in some entertainment like dancing, swimming, boating, going deep sea fishing, fishing off the pier, going on air plane or helicopter rides, shopping, having fellowship gathering parties, or taking in cultural events, one would HAVE TO PRIORITIZE and plan activities ... PUTTING THE THINGS OF GOD FIRST and not forgetting why we were commanded to be at God’s feasts: Deuteronomy 14:23 “ … that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.” and Deuteronomy 16:15 “ … because THE LORD THY GOD SHALL BLESS THEE in all thine increase, and IN ALL THE WORKS OF THINE HANDS, therefore THOU SHALT SURELY REJOICE.” Friday, October 02, 2009, The Feast Of Tabernacles Eve was an ideal day for traveling and being at the beach. On my way to the Feast Of Tabernacles, the weather was cloudy, yet mixed with autumn's sunny, warm, mild, and bright blue skies. By the time the sun was sitting, the evening sky had filled with clouds blocking out the sun over the LandMark Resort Hotel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The wind and the waves were up. The moon appeared from time to time through thin openings in the passing cloudy overcast. Happy brethren, visitors, guests, friends, and their families, in excitement, gathered in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for God's autumn Feast Of Tabernacles and The Last Great Day. A STREAM OF ENTHUSIASTIC HAPPY BRETHREN, visitors, guests, friends, and families registering for hotel rooms grew greater as the evening of the First Day Of The Feast Of Tabernacles arrived. At 7:00p.m. drinks and refreshments were served during the Reception and Hospitality Night as cheerful, enthusiastic, happy, rejoicing brethren, visitors, guests, friends, and families, began to filled the [EXPO - Ballroom – A]. Fellowship, smiles, laughter, joy, greetings, encouragement, and renewed friendships with friends, acquaintances, visitors, and other brethren was like a beautiful good smelling fragrance filling the atmosphere in the room. Later, in the night as the fellowship went on, the brethren, visitors, guests, friends, and families, retired peacefully for the Sabbath of the FIRST DAY OF THE WONDERFUL FEAST OF TABERNACLES. Wow! Beautiful! Again, this year, we were blest and honored by God to have the joy and pleasure of having the late Richard David Armstrong’s widow, who married Mr. Ben Chapman, Mrs. Lois Chapman, here faithfully worshipping, fellowshipping, and observing God’s Feasts Of Tabernacles and Last Great Day with us … another true pillar and patriot in the faith. How encouraging! She is always welcome. I am delighted and so very happy she came. Love you Mrs. Chapman. We welcome you. Saturday, October 03, 2009, first holy day of the wonderful Feast Of Tabernacles got off at a great start. The sea was a little windy and roared as her proud waves slapped and washed on to the shore of the beach. The weather was filled with autumn's refreshing, sunny, mild, partly cloudy, and bright blue skies. Here in the LandMark Resort Hotel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a count of around 280 enthusiastic, happy rejoicing brethren, guests, visitors, friends, and their families gathered in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in the morning services for God's autumn FIRST HOLY DAY OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES, celebrating and WORSHIPING GOD. In the morning services, Mr. Robert Nunnery gave a split sermon on “PURE AND UNDEFILED RELIGION” and the offertory. Mr. Shawn Stephens gave a split sermon on “Light.” Sunday, October 04, 2009, the second day of the wonderful Feast Of Tabernacles, also, got off at a great start. The sea was much calmer and quieter today as her waves slapped and washed on to the beach. The weather was filled with autumn's clean, sunny, mild, bright blue and partly cloudy skies … which acted as a canopy from the hot sun. In the morning services, Mr. Kelly Pierson gave an inspiring split sermon on, “The SEVEN THINGS GOD HATES.” Mrs. Cherrl Creasey sang, “I Pledge Allegiance To The Lamb” for special music. Mr. Bob Berrie gave an inspiring split sermon on, "DOES GOD REQUIRE OBEDIENCE?" In the afternoon, THE ENTHUSIASTIC SAVANNAH, GEORGIA ICG CHURCH GROUP sponsored and conducted an enjoyable, rewarding, and exciting Bingo Party filled with winnings, fellowship, and fun. The enjoyable Adult’s Dance and the enjoyable Children’s Dance were a great success with fellowship, refreshments, and dancing to music provided by our famous DJ, CURTIS, “ “THE KING, CARPENTER” ”. The arrival of Mr. Mark Armstrong and Mr. Tom Griffith here at the LandMark Hotel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina took place shortly after the dances got underway. We love and welcome Mark Armstrong and Tom Griffith with open arms. Monday, October 05, 2009, the third day of the wonderful Feast Of Tabernacles got off at another great start with the arrival of Mr. Mark Armstrong and Mr. Tom Griffith here at the LandMark Hotel. We love and welcome Mark Armstrong and Tom Griffith, who attended last night’s dance with us, with open arms. We hope Mark’s mother, and brothers, and his son, whom we love, will be able to come and be with us sometime in the near future, God willing. They are most welcome to spend time with us. The Atlantic Ocean was calm as her proud roaring waves slapped peacefully and lazily washing on to the shore. There was an unexpected misty but mild, rainy, and cloudy overcast all day. This did not dampen or cloud the spirit of the rejoicing brethren, visitors, and guest with their families. 278 people were reported to be in attendance at the Feast Of Tabernacles today, eager to hear Mark Armstrong and Tom Griffith. In the morning services, Mr. Mark Armstrong gave a split sermon on “Free Moral Agency Which God Gave To Us Which Has To Do With Our Freedom To Worship And Obey God.” Mark brought us an update on the prophetic conditions in the world in the light of Bible Prophecy. He also, brought us an update on the changes and progress in God’s work. Mr. Larry Keenan exuberantly played a moving melody of songs on the key board … which included, “Jesus, Jesus, Sweetest Name I Know”, he played one other song, plus “Nobody Knows The Trouble I See” for special music. Tom Griffith gave a split sermon on the misunderstood word, “LOVE” and “The SABBATH DAY BEING THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD DAY”. He showed that GOD’S PLAN IS TWO FOLD. Tuesday, October 06, 2009, the fourth day of the wonderful Feast Of Tabernacles got off at a great start with about 278 persons in attendance. The church, with open arms welcomed the arrival of Dr. James and Mrs. Natalie Ricks. The sea was quiet early this morning as her proud waves firmly slapped and lazily ran along the edge of the beach. The weather had a canopy cloudy overcast all day… but was nice. In the morning services, Mr. Robert England gave an inspiring split sermon on, “THE LACK OF LOVE.” Elena Harriston and I, Thomas C. Johnson, sang, “The Holy City” for special music. Dr. James Ricks gave an inspiring split sermon on, "DEATH OF THE OLD MAN." In the afternoon, around 1:00p.m., brethren gathered for a successful mouthwatering, succulent, and exciting Family Picnic and Games which was filled with fellowship, fun, and frolic. Around 4:00p.m., the lively Teen Outing which followed the Family Picnic and Games was a success, also. Here is a report from Robert Sprague about the FAMILY PICNIC AND GAMES and THE TEEN OUTING which followed later in the afternoon: “We are all enjoying our Best Feast Ever! After a much appreciated improvement in the weather Tuesday afternoon, About 50 brethren met at the Myrtle Beach State Park, the first State Park in South Carolina, about 5 miles south of the Feast site. Good fellowship and grilled food was shared and enjoyed by all. Games were enjoyed by youths, teens and adults. The teen outing, organized by Kelly Pierson, was held at Surf's UP! Everyone enjoyed the selection of video games and many rounds of laser tag. The pizza and salad bar was plentiful. All in all, this was a wonderful day for everyone.” Thanks Robert. Wednesday, October 07, 2009, the fifth day of the wonderful Feast Of Tabernacles got off at a great start. The sea again, was quiet early this morning as her vigorous waves slapped lazily and ran on to the shores of the sandy beach. The weather was filled with autumn's sunny, mild, bright blue, and partly cloudy skies again, only to cloud up with a cloudy, canopy overcast during the day. In the morning services, Mr. Bob Berrie gave an inspiring split sermon on, “LOVE AND OBEDIENCE TO GOD.” Mrs. Margie Profitt sang, “Wonderful Merciful Savior” for special music. Dr. James Ricks gave an inspiring split sermon on, "ANOTHER REASON TO GIVE THANKS TO GOD ... OR TO THANK GOD." Dr. James Rick and his wife Mrs. Natalie Ricks later left Myrtle Beach, S. C. in the afternoon. Wish they could have stayed longer with us…but, that would not have been fair to other brethren who need them at their feast sites, also. In the afternoon, around 2:00p.m., the Festival Entertainment with Mr. Kelly Pierson (MC), Mr. Don Smith (Singing on karaoke), Mr. Wade Mann (On base guitar), Cassie Witlow solo medley, and with Mr. John Profitt and his group (On guitars and singing), was a gala of success. The audience was much larger at the start of this entertainment in the early afternoon of this activity. Thursday, October 08, 2009, the sixth day of the wonderful Feast Of Tabernacles got off at a great start with the arrival of Mr. Clyde Crawford here at the LandMark Hotel. We love and welcome Clyde Crawford with open arms. The Atlantic Ocean was calm as her roaring waves slapped peacefully and lazily rushing along the shore. The spirit of the rejoicing brethren, visitors, and guests with their families was greeted by perfect beach weather with a few fading clouds drifting by early this morning. We had tropical weather. The weather was terrific and not too hot or too cold. The warm risen sun shone brightly over the LandMark Resort Hotel. In the morning services, Mr. Clyde Crawford gave a split sermon on “ISO-14000 AND ISO-9000 SYSTEMS AND THEIR STANDARDS” in the light of Bible Prophecy. Clyde Crawford’s split sermon was followed by THE BLESSING OF THE LITTLE CHILDREN. Mr. John Profitt with his guitar accompanied a brother singing and playing on a guitar, “You May Be The Only Bible Some People Ever Read.” The Children Choir, led by Elena Harriston, sang, “If You Are Happy And You Know It” and “Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World.” Kelly Pierson gave a split sermon on, “STANDARDS AND SHAMELESSNESS.” At 1:00p.m. the much appreciated MINISTERIAL LUNCHEON by Mr. Robert Nunnery, was held in THE GAZEBO RESTAURANT where thankful ministers and hosts shared a delightful lunch. How could one put a price on such a delicious and savory lunch, and the warmth, love, and fellowship that we enjoyed? At 7:00p.m. THE RAFFLE GIVE-AWAY NIGHT which was conducted by Mr. Kelly Pierson and Mrs. Ruth Perry was a night of anticipation, fellowship, entertaining, jokes, excitement, and winnings of the raffled freely purchased or donated gifts. Many thankful and enthusiastic brethren attended. The evening was a delight. With the arrival of Friday, October 09, 2009, the last and seventh day of the wonderful Feast Of Tabernacles got off at a great start, also. Again the Atlantic Ocean was calm as her boastful, roaring waves slapped peacefully and lazily gushed along the beach. The zealous spirit of the rejoicing brethren, visitors, and guests with their families was greeted by perfect beach weather with a few fading clouds passing by early this morning. We had tropical weather. The weather was not too hot or too cold, but idealistic. The warm risen sun again shone brightly over the LandMark Resort Hotel. In the morning services, Mr. Shawn Stephens gave a split sermon on “WHO IS MINDING YOUR TEMPLE.” Mr. John Profitt, Cassie Witlow and one other brother who plays a guitar along with Profitt’s group, with his guitar, sang, “Because He Lives” for special music. Mr. Robert England gave a split sermon on, “FINISH THE RACE.” At 5:00p.m. while enthusiastic brethren were packing up for the Last Great Day, Mrs. Michele Munroe was happily baptized in the Atlantic Ocean as its proud waves firmly but mildly battered and slapped lazily the baptizers and the baptized as it made its way to wash on to the waiting sandy beach. We extended hearty handshakes of fellowship and embraces, welcoming Michele into God’s Church, the body of Jesus Christ, and into the family of God. Congratulation Michele Munroe. We are so happy for you! Welcome aboard. At 7:00 p.m. Mr. Richard Jones started into THE LAST GREAT DAY AND WEEKLY SABBATH with an interesting Bible Study on how we cannot keep the commandments and laws of God on our own without the help of God, who we are, and the Sabbath Day. He stated and explained how that we are SABBATHS KEEPERS AND NOT JUST SABBATH KEEPERS. IN KEEPING WITH THE FEAST THEME as it weaved its way from the beginning of the feasts: “LOVE, FELLOWSHIP, AND OBEDIENCE” and “A NEW DAY IS COMING!”, Saturday, weekly Sabbath, and Last Great Day, October 10, 2009, the eighth day of this most wonderful feast got off at a great start with 303 people in attendance. How thrilling! The Atlantic Ocean was calm as her roaring waves slapped peacefully and lazily dancing along the shore. The spirit of the rejoicing brethren, visitors, and guests with their families were greeted once more by perfect beach weather with a few clouds hesitantly but slowly growing early this morning. We had tropical weather. The weather was not too hot or too cold. The warm risen sun shone brightly over the LandMark Resort Hotel. Billowing white majestic mushroom clouds mixed with bright sunshine, began to stack up a few miles inland in the afternoon and later rained on travelers outside the beach area. In the morning services, Mr. Clyde Crawford gave a split sermon on How We, The Sons And Daughters Of God Can Be Used Of God As Long As We Don’t Get Bitter. Elena Harriston and I, Thomas C. Johnson, sang, by request, The Holy City, for the offertory and special music. Mr. Robert Nunnery, our Feast Coordinator let us know that A NEW DAY IS COMING. Robert preached on “WHY ARE WE HERE!” He spoke of his family and an incident with his older brother who tried to block his belief in his formative years to this WAY. Even though it was sad, Robert spoke of the death of his father, mother, four brothers, three sisters, and of the death of his older brother and of the hope of his family’s and brother’s resurrection … focusing on the second resurrection, judgment day, holy city, Jerusalem and the new Jerusalem. He spoke of God’s Salvation Process. He showed what will happen to all peoples whom God raised from the dead whom He could not and cannot use after having given them one hundred years of life. Robert, by scripture, spoke of those of the third resurrection who would and will not repent when God’s plan has come to fruition and finalized. Services came to a closed with tearful brethren caressing, shaking hands, and saying their goodbyes. HERE IS WISHING EACH OF YOU had a most joyous, safest, happiest, and the GREATEST FEAST POSSIBLE as you celebrated GOD'S FEASTS where you were, along with brethren elsewhere around the world. We thank God for everyone and for these feasts. We thank God for all those whom He used to work through in making these feasts a success. We also thank God for Robert Nunnery, our Area Coordination, and for all God did and does, especially how HE used Robert and everyone involved in HIS work, especially in these feasts with the brethren. Our prayers go out for Robert, the brethren, and everyone of you involved in the work of God. Love you brethren! Love to all, From Myrtle Beach, South Carolina By Thomas C.
